Well-Baby Dental Visit
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first dental visit take place at six to 12 months after the first tooth comes in. This is an important time to visit the dentist because it establishes a dental home for your child early on in life. By seeing your child at a young age, we will be able to detect decay early, ease their anxiety about going to the dentist and, most importantly, provide a lifetime of preventive education.
The first visit to our office usually involves an exam, cleaning and fluoride. We will also ask some questions to learn more about your child’s habits at home. This information will guide us in our recommendations.
