Reducing the Number of Missed Appointments

In a recent survey of dentists, the no-show patient rate on average was about 10 percent for doctor appointments and 12 percent for hygiene appointments. We estimate that one missed dentist appointment costs over $200 in wages alone. This translates into empty chair time, hollow staff time and avoidable expenses that go back through the system and are carried by us all.
